About Paul Mathur

I am a versatile and highly motivated client-facing consultant with proven experience in systems integration, database development, business intelligence and web application development for clients in the alternative investments arena, including hedge funds, prime brokers, fund administrators and associated technology service providers.

I operate as an independent consultant, giving me the flexibility to work on projects directly with end-clients or via a third-party (such as an agency, software vendor or consulting firm) that may already have a relationship with the client.

I'm based in London, but have shown that I am prepared to travel to clients around the world and be based on-site for extended periods.

Skills & Specialities

I've worked with Advent's Geneva fund accounting system for several years (v6.0.3 upwards). I have experience of all stages of a Geneva implementation, from initial hardware acquisition to go-live. Deep knowledge of the technical aspects of the platform combined with strong financial concepts ensures that I make a meaningful impact on any Geneva projects I undertake. I have developed custom reports for Geneva using RSL and SQL Server Reporting Services (RDL). I've also integrated third-party systems with Geneva using the SQL Server Integration Services, Loader and Web Services (SOAP) interfaces.

I am also a certified Advent APX Consultant, and can leverage my skills to help clients make the most of the APX platform. I am well placed to implement, upgrade and integrate APX with other in-house systems. I can assist with data migrations and help clients reconcile differences between portfolio management systems.
